Drakesbad is a wilderness
resort inside the National Park at the end of a gravel road.
The setting is superb, in upper Warner Valley forest at the
meadows edge.
The swimming pool has piped
in water from Drakesbad Hot Spring.
Meals are provided.
Horseback tours are available.
Here you can experience the
wild country in a setting like backpackers routinely have
for no cost, but you don't have to walk in to get there.
May be mosquitos in
especially June-early July. |
