If you want a standard modern motel in the Lassen Area this
is it. Actually it is an old motel (formerly the
Chester
Manor Motel)
with some
upgrading, plus a new larger motel.
Rose Quartz is in the center of
Chester on Highway 36. Chester offers a number of
restaurants.
There is nothing especially
distinguishing about the Rose Quartz, the view is mundane,
and the landscaping un-imaginative. It is a pleasant,
anywhere-USA motel, but sometimes that is just what one
might want.
It is very expensive compared
to the alternatives. For the cost of a couple nights
here you could instead buy some camping equipment and stay
at a no-fee campsite next to a lake with gorgeous natural
beauty all around.
