The campground is set in a forested bowl close to beautiful
Silver Lake.There is
hand pump water, and pit toilets. 18 campsites, but
some have been abandoned (in 2008).
Silver Lake is a hidden gem.
The sign for the turnoff for Silver Lake Road from the paved
highway seems to disappear on occasion. Be assured
that the land around the lake is public National Forest
land,
 and the summer cabins are by permit with the Forest
Service. |
