Southwest is a walk-in campground.  Parking is in the main parking lot for the visitor center, and the campsites are in the forest down from the parking.  The walk in is maybe 100'

Walk-in campgrounds are usually different culturally; they often attract hikers, and are usually cleaner and quieter.

The Mill Creek Falls trail starts in the north edge of the campground, and many other trailheads are within a short drive  There are flush toilets and piped water during the snow-free season.

Except for the parking lot, the scenery is excellent here.  This is a very good campground for hikers.
