This is a challenging dayhike.  The ford of Kings Creek at Mile 3.7 may be difficult until September; be careful.

This is the hard way to visit Kings Creek Falls.  You go up switchbacks, and over the waterless Flatiron Ridge.  From there the part up to the falls is blessed with creeks.  But then back down from the falls can be hot through the open forest.  Bench Lake dries up in late season.

This is a fine hike on a cool autumn day.  Recommended for seasoned hikers.
