One of the most fetching assortment of lakes and meadows one will find anywhere.  All set in the peaceful forest that covers Caribou Wilderness.

The wildflowers are outstanding in July, but the mosquitos are abundant at the same time.  This area may have the most early summer mosquitos in the Lassen area.  However, late summer and autumn can be idyllic.

There are superb campsites at Long and Posey Lakes, as well as others at Hidden, Beauty, and Evelyn Lakes.  Although it makes for an easy dayhike for those who prefer to travel light.
