A long, remote hike to some of the best lakes for camping in the Lassen backcountry, Swan and Lower Twin Lakes.

Rainbow Lake is the most remote area in the Lassen region, tied with a spot on the Jakey Lake loop.  Usually you will see a few other hikers, particularly at Twin Lakes, but crowds are non-existent here.

This is one of the best long loops, with a good variety of scenery.
