You may hike in and camp most anywhere in the National Forest.  You can do the same in the National Park, except the No Camping Zones shown on this map.

Suggested backcountry campsites are shown on the hike maps

Backcountry camping requires a Wilderness camping permit in Park, and a California Campfire permit in National Forest
